Charity begins at home is the saying often we have heard. It not purely helping people with financial assistance. It is more than giving than being with people when they need help emotionally and if need be spending time too.

It is everyone’s responsibility to make the world a better place for everyone to make a happy living. What do we live for if not to make the world less difficult for each other? Though some people may attempt to live life from a purely selfish, self centred perspective, it is in giving of ourselves to others that we find our greatest sense of meaning.

And so, as we search for meaning, one of the best places to look is outwards – towards others – using the principle of charity.  Too often the meaning of charity is reduced to the act of giving alms or donationg sums of money to those who are economically disadvantaged.

Burt charity in its purest forms involves so much more.  It includes the giving of our hearts, our minds, and our talents in ways that enrich the lives of all people – regardless of whether they are poor or rich.  Charity is selflessness.  It is love in work that makes everyone feel comfortable.

Charity the general understanding of the world is giving someone clothes, money extra. Remember charity is more than giving money to the poor.  It is the giving of our hearts, time, talents, and energies to lighten the lives of others, rich or poor.

Our existence on earth must give meaning. Life is not  just we are born, we live, we go back where we have come from. Life is an exciting business and most exciting when lived for others. God loves the joyful giver and it is in giving that we receive. Flowers leave part of their fragrance in the hand that bestows them. In giving we receive more. It is important that children right from young age must learn to grow with heart and mind filled with love for charity.

Once the children grow with this attitude be sure they can make a world of difference as they grow in the society. In today’s competitive world often good virtue like charity and helping the poor, love for the less-privileged has been sidelined. Let every child in school along with learning subjects let them learn too good virtues which will keep them long way to go in society with good reputation. Let charity and education make great impact in the life of a child so that the child grows in virtue along with good learning.
