Character formation is the most important values that we must inculcate in the life students at the very young age onwards. The school takes a parental role to mould the child not only with study skills, writing skills but importantly formation of a child with good character that would make him grow to be a good citizens. In the life of a human being the first fifteen years play a major role, since he/she will be learning several things to lead future life in flying colours. The learning the first fifteen years should have strong fundamental basics and this can be achieved through formal studies in a very good school which has got all facilities to educate. Today with all modern learning and so much of freedom to children slowly character formation is sidelined, first and foremost parents, teachers, management and children should have always positive feel about character formation.
It is not a duty but it is a responsibility of every one in different situation, different environment, and different walks of life to make a child to understand character formation is the basic of human life. It is wonderfully said “if wealth is lost, nothing is lost, if health is lost, something is lost, if character is lost everything is lost”. It has deep meaning in it. This is something true as people respect us even when we are without good health and wealth, but a person without character is not given respect in the society.
In the past moving world, where people are busy and life has become so mechanic people tend to lose grief in life and values find second place or rather we seldom give importance to it. When we talk to people or even we witness in life and general understanding of the world today is person with money and gold is given respect but it very unfortunate not a person with character, such thought is wrong but it is spreading all over the world, a kind of sickness that causes huge damage to the human values and life. Due to such a wrong thinking even by doing wrong acts people feel they are great if they possess a lot of wealth. Greatness does not lie in how much wealth we posses but the type of character we display in our dealing with others.
In schools children need to taught about more on values and character formation. It may be boring subject to talk about but the child’s future purely depends on the character formation to which he/she is being molded. A person of strong character is always fearless. He never needs to be afraid of thinks as he always speaks the truth and is honest in everything. He doesn’t hide hide anything. He is loved and respected by all. He is always happy as he is not afraid of getting caught for wrong doing. His happiness also makes him free from mental tension which gives him good health. He is very rich and wealthy in happiness and good heart. The person with fine character will inspire many in life.
It is not life becomes happiest one when we have money and gold besides health and wealth, we need character, which is the most important requirement for success of life. If we have no character, we can never be happy or successful in life. If we are dishonest, nobody trusts us even though we are very rich. Wealth can be stolen by thieves but good character can never be stolen by anyone. So we need to grow with good character which also will attract many friends. In schools children must learn the art of growing with good character. School is best platform for making a child to imbibe with virtues that would make him/her best citizen for the country.
Let every child understand that when Elders, Parents, Teachers advice them or correct them when they go wrong it is not to punish them but rather they want every child to grow with good character for life. Every school must be proud that you are a right entity to mould brighter citizen for the society. Your education will become fully alive and active when you educate the children with formation of character along with subjects learning. Let your noble service for the cause of education continue in the days to come.
