The celebration of Diwali is a time to reflect on and evaluate our thoughts, words, and actions over the past year. It is a time to discover how we can be more loving, kind, respectful, and skillful towards ourselves and others.

It is a time to acknowledge and better understand our prejudices, negative behaviors, and bad habits so that we may begin the process of transforming ourselves. And since all wealth, be it material or spiritual, should be shared with others who are less fortunate.

Diwali is also a time to reflect on the various ways we can assist others and shine our light out into the world.

Diwali is here, Diwali is here
That great festival of sound
When crackers and
Laughter abounds
When crackers and
Sparkles light up the sky
When delighted children
Jump up with a joy

Dear gathering we are here to celebrate the festival of lights symbolizing the victory of righteousness and the lifting of spiritual darkness.

This festival of Diwali makes every home and every heart filled with happiness and cheer. To mark the day memorable one for each of us we shall start this celebration with worship.

We take immense pleasure in inviting our beloved Principal, Vice-Principal, committed teachers and you dear students for this festival of lights.

1. Lightning the Lamp

Festival of light remind us “light bring life and thus making life more beautiful to live in this universe, our forefathers believed light represents the real presence of God.

A lamp emits such a light
That makes the path bright
Dispelling the darkness around
Lamp illumines every sight
Those who go on the path
The lamp shows the right path
To fulfill its aim
The lamp serves the world with all its might

I now call upon our principal, Vice-Principal . . . . Miss . . . . . . and school pupil leader, Assist pupil leader to light the lamp.

2. Prayer

Singing to God is the prime duty of its creatures. The palms say “Give thanks to the almighty for his love endures forever. His benevolence has gifted us this wonderful day. May we invite our school choir to lead us into the prayerful moments

Prayer

As we now bring fire to this candle wick,

Making it glow with light,
May we also bring the fire of love,
To this time of prayer and worship.
May this holy candle send forth dancing rays,
Like sunrise on the most glorious morning,
And may these rays of light,
Encircle us and those we love.
Amen.

Reading from Holy Book

A Religion is the one that unites the people of God together and more especially the Holy Scripture form every religion directly reveals God’s infinite love, let us listen to God’s word on the theme light. (Chose reading form your choice)

3. Welcome Speech

A loving word of hearty welcome from the heart is the sweetest of all things in life. With hearts full of love and happiness we would like to garland you with sweet loving words of welcome every one gathered here for this festival of lights.

It brings lots of new hope and joy to every heart when celebrated with enthusiasm gaiety. Let us make this day a memorable one for each of us, as we join in this celebration of lights. Once again hearty welcome to everyone.

4. Diwali Speech (Native Language)

Little lamps illumining millions of our homes proclaim the festival of lights. We rejoice with all the people of our land and bring to the altar our own little lamps. Indian tradition attributes the origin of Diwali to the coronation of Rama, as the king of Ayodhya. On that night, it is said, there was illumination all over the country.

5. Dance by Girls

Any celebration makes its special when celebrated with dance and certainly, it is treated to the eye. Here our little dollies have come along with their little lamps to enlighten us to make our celebrations more colorful and brighter.

6. Diwali Speech English

Diwali or festival of light is one of the great and lightening festivals of Indians. This festival shows the great lightening significance of Hindu and other religion.

During this festival, people worship Lord Ganesha for good welfare and prosperity and People also worship goddess Lakshmi for wealth and wisdom.

This festival is celebrated by fully decorating our home with flowers and colorful divas. On this day people worship the god, firecrackers, get blessings from their elders and also share their happiness and joy with each other.

7. A Vote of Thanks

Thanks mean it gives buddle of gratitude to heart that receives and proposes. This is our proud moment to stand before you to propose a vote of thanks. We thank the Almighty who has showered us with his abundant blessings on this day as we celebrate the festival of lights.

Let us lift our hearts with gratitude to God for the people who celebrate this day and making us realize how relationship unit us as people of the nation and one family. We express our gratitude to our principal and vice –principal for having made this day a joyous one.

We thank teachers for their support in all our efforts in making this day as colorful one. Finally, we thank students for eagerly participating in all the events.
